NORMA BLAND
1900-1979
Mrs. Norma Bland, 79, died Monday, Nov 12, in Paintsville Hospital after an
illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Bland was born July 12, 1900, in Floyd County, the daughter of John and
Nevada May George. She was a resident of Paintsville and a member of the
First Church of God.
Her husband, Morris Bland, preceded her in death in Oct 1937.
Surviving are a son, John Bland, Paintsville; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine
Reed, Clarksburg, WV, Mrs. Rena Frisby, Staffordsville, and Mrs. Helen Bayes,
Paintsville, a sister, Dolly McKenzie, Adrian, MI; four brothers, James of
Ashland, Eddie and Sam of Prestonsburg, and Otto of Griskin, FL; 12
grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Nov 14 in First Church of
God, Paintsville, with Rev. Tommy Reynolds and Rev. Moses Kitchen
officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with Paintsville
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
