LEONARD BLANKENSHIP
1892-1975
Leonard Blankenship, an 82 year old resident of Ashland, died August 12 after
an extended illness.
The son of the late William T. and Laura Crank Blankenship, he was born
October 31, 1892, and was a member of the Church of God.
Surviving are two sisters, Pearl O’Bryan of Ashland and Kathryn Layne of
Morehead and two brothers, Jay Blankenship of Columbus, OH and Delmar
Blankenship of Tucson, AZ. Reverend Roy Chism officiated at the funeral
services for Mr. Blankenship, held August 14 in the Chapel of the Jones-
Preston Funeral Home.
Interment was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with
arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
