Milt Blankenship
1893-1975
Milt Blankenship, of Nippa, died Sunday, February 2, 1975 at the
age of 81.
Born in Johnson County on March 15, 1893, he was the son of the
late Thomas and Nancy Hurt Blankenship and was a retired miner and
member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Sophia Blankenship; two sons, Paris
Blankenship of Wayland and Charles Blankenship of Charlotte N. C.;
four daughters, Ethel Ramey of Charlotte, Opal Caudill and Ella
Mae Wray of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and Avanelle Quisenberry of
Cloither, W. Va.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and
three brothers, Ralph Blankenship of Wayland, Jessie Blankenship
of Meally and Roy Blankenship of Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Funeral services for Mr. Blankenship were held Monday, February 3,
in the Chapel of the Jones- Preston Funeral Home with Reverend
Bill Ford officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at
Staffordsville. Arrangements were under the direction of the
Jones-Preston Funerlal Home.
