Mr. Johnnie Blanton, 77, died December 10, 1986 in King's Daughters
Hospital in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Blanton was born October 11, 1909 in Johnson County, the son of
Harry and Betty Davis Blanton.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Jean VanHoose Blanton; one son, James
Paul Blanton, of Tutor Key; two daughters, Betty VanHoose, of
Catlettsburg, and Jonna Murry, of Meally; six sisters, Ruie Osborne,
of Prestonsburg, Virgie Bayes, of Staffordsvdle, Jewell Lang, of
Glen Burnie, MD., Anna Corte, of College Paris, MD, Dora Fink, of
Baltimore, MD, and Marie Dutton, of Fremont, Ohio; and seven
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 13 in Fishtrap United
Baptist Church with Elders Lonza Reed and Bruce Howard officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with
Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
