PAYNE, BLANTON
1909-1985
Payne Blanton, 76, died Feb 27 in Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mr.
Blanton was born Jan 19, 1909 in Johnson County, the son of Branch and Ella
Colvin Blanton.
He was a resident of Dwale, a retired employee of Kentucky-West Virginia Gas
Company and a member of the United Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Fannie Lemaster Blanton, who he married in 1931; 2
sons, Ellis Wayne Blanton and Payne Blanton, Jr. both of Ypsilanti, Mi; a
sister, Mrs. Mary Ballenger of Chillicothe, OH and 4 grandchildren.
Services held in Paintsville Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Goble and Elder
Sammy Colvin officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
