BOONE BLEVINS JR.
1932-2005
Boone Blevins Jr., 73, of Meally, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 at
Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born June 9, 1932, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Boone
Sr. and Dora Francis Frazier Blevins. He was a retired Johnson County
Schools educator and U.S. Army Korean veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae Ward Blevins of Meally; three
daughters, Teresa Cantrell of Hager Hill, Dianna Lynn Skaggs of
Staffordsville and Michelle Crum of Inez; a stepdaughter, Kimberly
Mollette of Meally; a son, Glen David Blevins of Neon; a stepson,
Kenneth Michael Ward of Hebron; a sister, Wanda Lewis of Springfield,
Ohio; two brothers, Joseph Blevins of Flat Gap and Robert L. Blevins
of Springfield; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nine
step-grandchildren; and two foster grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with Dr. J.R. Blevins and Toby Wheeler officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
