Ottie F. Blevins, 71, of Wittensville, died Sunday, June 13, 2004
at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born Sept. 14, 1932, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late
Worthy and Lennia Mae Stamper Blevins.
He was a self-employed businessman, retired owner of a trucking
business, and a U. S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Blevins.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa May Blevins of Wittensville; three
sons, William Stanley Blevins of Sitka, Ottie Randall Blevins of
Staffordsville, and Rodney Steven Blevins of Hager Hill; three
brothers, George Blevins of Westwood, Harry Blevins of Lancing,
Mich., and Jimmy Blevins of St. Mary's, Idaho; four sisters, Lula
Adkins of Paintsville, Ella Gauze of Inez, Bonnie Webb of
Cannonsburg, and Jerry Tackett of Staffordsville; and four
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, June 17, at Beechwall United
Baptist Church, Leander, with Elders Don Neely, Larry Salyer,
Rutherford Blair, Jerry Colvin, and Doug Ward officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
