Mrs. Goldie Borders, 72, died June 20 in Hall Regional Medical Center. Mrs.
Borders ws born June 19, 1912 in Magoffin County, the daughter of Minifee and
Rennie Rigsby Montgomery.
 
She was a resident of Paintsville,  a retired cook for Mayo Vocational-
Technical School and a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church.
 
Surviving are her husband, Manuel Borders; three sons, Earl Burton of
Waverly, OH, Bascom Borders of Westland, MI, and Basil Borders of Lake Bluff,
IL; four daughters, Edna Johnson of Paintsville, Wilma Meade of Mt. Sterling,
Betty Gullett of Nicholasville, and Mary Coleman of Columbus, OH; two
brothers, Herman Montgomery of Waverly, OH and Thurman Montgomery of Oil
Springs; two sisters, Dorothy Williams and Flaria Lyons both of Paintsville.
 
Funeral services were held June 23 in Southside Freewill Baptist church with
Revs. Eddie Young and Richard Williams officiating.
 
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with Paintsville Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
