William Ray "Bill" Borders, 84, of Lexington, formerly of Paintsville, died
Friday, May 6th.

Born Aug. 5, 1926, in Boyd County, he was the son of Lurlie Young Borders of
Paintsville and the late Charlie Borders. He formerly owned Dairy Cheer of
Paintsville.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Borders; a son, Michael Ray
Borders; a daughter, Jane Ann Wann; and a brother, Curtis M. Borders.

Additional suvivors include his wife, Doris Painter Borders; and a brother,
Bobby L. Borders of Pikeville.

Funeral services were Monday, May 9, at Cornerstone Baptist Church,
Lexington, with Alan Dodson officiating.

Military rites were by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV. Burial was in Highland Memorial
Park Cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home,
Paintsville.
