David Lee Bowens, 68, of Lowmansville, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, at his
residence.
Born Feb. 17, 1943, at Lowmansville, he was the son of the late Cullie and
Beulah Young Bowens. He was a mechanic and member of the Van Lear Freewill
Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Bowens.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Wilks Bowens; two sons, David Bowens of
Jeffersonville and Todd Bowens of Shelbyville; a brother, Jerry Bowens of
Lowmansville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 13, at Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with
Paul Wayne Browning officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Cemetery,
Staffordsville, under direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
