Louella Ratliff Branham, 87, of West Van Lear, died Saturday, March 17, at
Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Born March 18, 1924, in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Sam
and Dessie Cline Ratliff. She worked for G.C. Murphy, and was a member of the
Third Street First Freewill Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Branham.
Survivors include four daughters, Scharolette Gay McKenzie of Meally,
Patricia Ann Gambill of Thelma, Chlotene Ison of West Van Lear, and Donagene
Gapuzan of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Jones-Preston
Funeral Chapel, with Larry Blair and Riley Maynard officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
