Luther Branham
1914-1996
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Luther
"Elmer" Branham, 81, who died March 14, 1996 at his Van Lear
residence.
He was born November 30, 1914 in Johnson County, the son of Arthur
and Martha Hall Branham.
Mr. Branham was a World War II veteran and are retired coal miner.
He is survived by his wife Valarie Ratliff Branham, two stepsons,
David Mowen of Florence and Danny Mowen of Edgewater, Florida; one
daughter, Kathy Phillips of Tomahawk; one stepdaughter, Linda
Ratliff of Florence; one brother, Lester Branham of West Van Lear;
three sisters, Dean Brooks of Columbus, Ohio, Buelah Hall of Inez,
and Helen Butcher of Williamsport, two grandchildren and five
stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services were at Jones Preston Funeral Home Chapel with
Robert Baker and Woodrow Nichols officiating.
Burial was at Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville.
