CECELIA BROWN
1900-1985
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 10 in Little Martha Church for
Cecelia Brown, 85. Mrs. Brown died September 8 in Cynthiana, KY.
She was born April 15, 1900, in Floyd County, the daughter of Rev. William
and Pauline Shepherd, and was a resident of Hager Hill.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Brown; three sons, James Brown of Cynthiana,
Paul Brown of Hager Hill and Lawrence Brown of Paintsville; a daughter,
Charity Utterback of Nashville, TN; a sister, Pauline Stephens of Phoenix;
AZ; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Monroe Vanderpool and
Banner Manns officiated at services, with burial in Highland Memorial Park at
Staffordsville.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
