Lawrence Gray Brown, 87, of Paintsville, died Saturday, April 23, at Mountain
Manor Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 24, 1924, in Magoffin County, he was the son of the late Judge
Frank and Celia Arnett Brown. He was a retired business owner and a U.S.
World War II Army veteran.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Helton Brown; a son, John Mark Brown of
Paintsville; a daughter, Lynda L. Wiley of Paintsville; two brothers, James
Arnold Brown of Cynthiana and Paul D. Brown of Hager Hill; a sister, Charity
Utterback of Salem, Va.; six grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 26, at First Baptist Church,
Paintsville, with Art Beasley officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Paintsville, under direction
of Jones- Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
