MELBA BROWN
1933-1995
Retired cook, Melba Jane Brown, 61, died Friday, January 6 1995, at
her Van Lear residence.
Mrs. Brown was born February 5, 1933, in Johnson County, the
daughter of the late Houston and Thelma Picklesimer Williams.
She was retired from Paintsville Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Jack Brown; one son, Jackie Neal Brown of
Van Lear; one brother, Delmar Williams of Georgia; five sisters.
Glenna Music and Nancy Wells, both of Van Lear; Phyllis Murphy of
Michigan; Ruth Stambaugh of West Van Lear; and Reatha Fox of
Florida; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 9 at Preston Funeral Home
Chapel, with J.M. Scott officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memomial Park at Staffordsville.
