Hysell Burchett, 87, of Staffordsville, died Friday, Aug. 8, at
Mountain Manor Nursing Home, Paintsville.
Born Jan. 30, 1916, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late
George and Martha Ann Stambaugh Burchett.
He was a retired educator.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Burchett; and a sister,
Mary Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Meade Burchett of
Staffordsville; a son, Dwight H. Burchett of Staffordsville; a
daughter, Bettina Lynn Burchett Patrick of Lexington; and three
grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 11, at Jones- Preston Funeral
Chapel, Paintsville, with Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
