JULIUS BURCHETT
1927-2001
Julius Burchett, 74, of Stambaugh, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, at his
home.
Mr. Burchett was born April 13, 1927, in Johnson County, a son of
the late Julius and Josie Middaugh Burchett.
He was a retired coal miner, a World War II Army veteran, and a
member of Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church and Disabled
American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Garnet Green Burchett; four sons, Larry L.
Burchett of Wittensville, David M. Burchett of Xenia, Ohio, H.
Keith Burchett of Seaman, Ohio, and Jeffery B. Burchett of
Stambaugh; two brothers, Jesse Henry Burchett of Portsmouth, Ohio,
and Dean Burchett of Ulysses; a sister, Audrey Dawson of Van Lear;
15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home in Paintsville by Jimmy McKenzie and Harold Stevens,
ministers.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens in Staffordsville.
Friends may call from 6 to 10 tonight, anytime Thursday and until
time of service Friday at the funeral home.
