LUCY BURCHETT

Jones-Preston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Lucy
Burchett, 89, who died Sunday, March 23, 1997 at Paintsville
Mountain Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Burchett was born February 19, 1908; in Johnson County, to
the late Frank and Stella VanHoose Williams.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garfield "Red"
Burchett, on November 24, 1956.
Surviving are four sons, Junior Burchett, of Staffordsville; Jerry
Burchett Of Lowmansville, Huey Lee Burchett of Springville;
Tennessee; and Noah Burchett of Okeechobee, Florida; three
daughters, Mary F Deitz, of Paintsville, Janetta L. Murphy of Van
Lear and Neldra Sue Frazier of Knoxville, Tennessee; one brother,
Richard Williams of Troy, Ohio; five sisters, Clara Rice of
Flatwoods, Alta Shields of Fairborn, Ohio, Geneva Rice of
Michigan, Frankie Patrick, of Troy, Ohio, and Carrol Lacy of
Shelton, Washington; and 27 grandchildren, 37 great- grandchildren
and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, March 26, at 12
noon at Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Kelly Caudill and
Dick VanHoose officiating.
Burial will be Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
