LYDIA BURCHETT
1884-1966

Lydia Burchett, age 82, died Friday, December 9, at 6 a.m. at her
home on Main Street after an extended illness.

She was born July 6, 1884 in Magoffin County and had resided in
Paintsville for several years. She was a member of the United
Baptist Church and also belonged to the Daughters of America.

Her husband, the late Andrew Burchett, preceded her in death.

Survivors include four grandchildren, Mrs Louise Adamaitis, Mrs.
Marylin Combille, Mrs. Jack Jayne and Jim Turner, three
stepchildren, Mrs. M.J. Crum of Stambaugh, Mrs. Beatrice Keyser and
Tom Burchett, both of Huntington, West Virginia.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Julia Daniel of Charley, Mrs.
Frank Spradlin of Stambaugh, Mrs. Alta Burchett of Louisa, and a
brother, Sammie Caudill of Ashland.

The funeral was held Sunday, December 11 at 10 a.m. at the Jones-
Preston Funeral Home with burial following in the Highland Memorial
Park at Staffordsville.
