LUCY BURDICK
1883-1963
Mrs. Lucy Burdick, 79, resident of King Addition, died in a local
hospital at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, November 14 following a brief
illness.
The daughter of the late William A. and Adelaide Ann Buell Haines,
she was born in Buchanan County, Iowa, December 24, 1883, and had
made her home in this city for the past three years.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had been a member
of the O.E.S. for more than fifty years.
Her husband, Thomas Burdick, preceded her in death in 1960.
Survivors include a brother, C. C. Haines of this city, and
several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday at the Jones
and Preston Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Saunders
officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
