Airman First Class John Mark Burton, 24, died Thursday, July 10
1980 at Shaw Air Force Base, Sumpter, S.C.
He was born January 30, 1956, in Paintsville.
Surviving are his parents, Herbert and Maudie Lemaster Burton,
Hager Hill; a son, John Riley Burton, 2; and two brothers, Herbert
Allen Burton, Pikeville, and Stephen Bryan Burton, Hager Hill.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 14, in Southside Freewill
Baptist Church, Paintsville, with Rev. Edward Young officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, with
Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
