EUGENE STANLEY BUTCHER
1930-2009
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Thacker Funeral
Home in Pikeville for Eugene Stanley Ward, 79, who passed away Dec. 24 at the
University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born November 30, 1930, son to the late Glenn Stanley Butcher and Mae
White Conley Butcher.
He was a member of the U.S. Marines and a member of the First Baptist Church
in Pikeville.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Butcher, Pikeville; two daughters, Debra
Jean Jones and Connie Butcher Sanders. One brother, Glenn Richard Butcher,
Paintsville and three grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Brother Paul Badgett, with entombment in the
Highlands Memorial Park, Staffordsville. Arrangements under the direction of
Thacker Funeral Home, Pikeville.
