Tera Butcher, 80, of Paintsville, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006 at
her residence.
Born Sept. 30, 1926, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the
late Clarence and Della Dale Butcher. She was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Love.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Smith of Paintsville; five
daughters, Joyce Pennington and Ellen Ramey, both of Paintsville,
Shirley Auxier of Staffordsville, Maggie Brackett of River, and
Minerva Music of Nippa; a sister, Sarah Miller of California; 17
grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-
great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 25, at
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Leroy Kestner
and Michael Tackett officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
