WILBURN BUTCHER

Wilburn "Curley" Butcher, 57 died Sunday,  April 12, 1981, after
an extended Illness.

Born April 21, 1923 in Johnson County, he was the son of T.H. and
Pearl Bowling Butcher.

He was a resident of Wittensville, a retired miner and a member of
the Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his mother, his wife, Fannie VanHoose Butcher; four
sons, Jimmy Wayne Butcher, Springfield, Ohio; Michael Dean
Butcher, Lexington; and Larry M. and Donald Ray Butcher,
Wittensville. Also five brothers, Jesse and Warren Butcher, Van
Lear; Frank, Hershell and Thomas Butcher, Wabash, Ind ; five
sisters, Lida Mae Collins, Jean Music and Wanda Lee Prater,
Wabash, Ind.; Faye of Chicago Ill.; and Dorothy Burke, Chicago;
two half-brothers, Melvin and Wetzel Butcher, Van Lear; and four
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday April 15, in Jones-Preston
Funeral Home Chapel with Don Graley, Dick VanHoose and James Kelly
Caudill officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
