MARIE BUTLER
1911-1997
Marie C. "Aunt Bea" Butler, 85, died Thursday, January 16, at her
Paintsville residence.
Mrs. Butler was born June 6, 1911, at Blaine, the daughter of the
late Richard C. and Grace Burton Cyrus. She was on office manager.
She was also preceded in death by two husbands, John Butler and
Thomas Butler.
Surviving are one sister, Cora C. Lyon of Louisa; two stepsons, Dr.
James E. Butler of Lexington and Col. David L. Butler of Lubbock,
Texas; several nephews and nieces; and 14 step- grandchildren, 26
step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 19, at First Church of
God, with Revs. Matthew Boyles and Tommy Reynolds officiating.
Burial was in Cyrus Cemetery at Louisa, with Paintsville Funeral Home
in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Billy Joe, Scott, Bobby, Jim and Richard Cyrus and
Tim Campbell.
