ARNOLD MORRIS CANTRELL
1943–2002
Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 11 a.m. at Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Arnold Morris Cantrell, 60, who
passed away Thursday, March 7 at his Staffordsville residence.
Mr. Cantrell was born January 2, 1943 in Magoffin County, son of
Clara Castle Cantrell and the late Marion Cecil Cantrell.
Surviving are his wife, Melva Jewell Salyers Cantrell; two sons,
Morris Timothy Cantrell of Martin, and Ronald Simmie Cantrell of
Staffordsville; two daughters, Sheila Lynn Reed of Magoffin
County, and Delana Jewell Garcia of Staffordsville; five brothers,
James and Mark Cantrell of Flat Gap, Grant Cantrell of
Salyersville, Marion Cantrell of Staffordsville, and Jimmy
Cantrell of Royalton; four sisters, Audrey Faye and Kathy
Cantrell, both of Huntington, W.Va., Elizabeth Meade of Flat Gap,
and Shirley Puckett of Royalton; 12 grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren.
The service was officiated by Danny and Johnny Reed, with burial
following in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville.
