BURL CANTRELL SR.
1918-1990
Burl "Whitey" Cantrell Sr., 71, died Wednesday, January 24,
1990 in Westview Manor.
Mr. Cantrell was born May 2, 1918, in Johnson County, the
son of Thomas and Julia Love Cantrell.
He was a retired pipe fitter.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys M. Meade Cantrell; three
sons, Burl "Skip" Cantrell, Jr. and Wade Cantrell, both of
Staffordsville, and Jackie Cantrell, of Springfield, Ohio;
one daughter, Sue Branham, of Staffordsville; one sister,
Hazel Cochran, of Wittensville; and eight grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 27, in Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Willard Vanhoose
officiating.
Burial was in Highlands Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
