Rites are Held on June 23 1967 for Ervin Cantrell

Ervin Cantrell age 58, died Wednesday, June 21, at 1 p.m. in local
hospital after a sudden illness.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at the Third
Street Free Will Baptist Church with Claude Preston and Juhn Frank
Ratliff officiating.

Special music was provided by the Tom Creek Quartet.

Interment followed in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville
under direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Born March 12, 1909 in Johnson County, he was the son of James H.
and Stella Cheek Cantrell.

Residing at Nippa, Cantrell had been a retired welder and pipe
fitter.

He served with the United States Navy during World War ll and was
a member of the D.A.V.

His wife who survives is the former Laura Trimble.

Additional survivors include a son Donald Eugene Cantrell of
Defiance, Ohio, a stepson, Bob Trimble of Van Lear ,a step
daughter Mrs Sam Burke of Collista, three brothers Walter Cantrell
of Michigan, Earl Cantrell of Paintsville and Clyde Cantrell of
Collista and three sisters , Mrs.Carl Turner of Flatwoods, Mrs
Henry Rice of Paintsville and Mrs.Frank Barger of Harrisburg
Illinois.

Also surviving are three grandchildren.
