WONNIE CANTRELL
1901-1971
Funeral services were held March 20 in the First Free Will Baptist Church of
Paintsville for Wonnie Cantrell, 70, who died three days earlier in a local
hospital.
He was born in Morgan County to the late John and Alice Burchett Cantrell.
Jessie Smith, Lonnie Wright and Lee Music officiated at the services, and the
Jones- Preston Funeral Home cared for interment afterward in the Highland
Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
The retired carpenter and former Paintsville resident is survived by three
sisters, Esta Barker of Fairborn, Ohio, Lesta Pennington of Flat Gap and
Renda Bayes in Columbus, Ohio; three brothers, Jimmy Cantrell of Ophir,
Estill Cantrell of Paintsville, and Bill Cantrell in Win.
