ROY CARDWELL
1908-1992
Military graveside rites were held Saturday, November 28 for Roy Cardwell,
84.
Mr. Cardwell was born August 21, 1908 in Bangel, MO, the son of the late
James Cardwell and Lona B. Hickman. He was a retired military lieutenant
colonel, served in World War II, was a member of the Bakers Branch Freewill
Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #32 in Jefferson City, MO.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Oleshia Cardwell in 1989.
Surviving are one son, Jack Cardwell of Indianapolis, IN, one daughter, Dawn
Kinkead of Delray Beach, FL; one brother, William Cardwell of Jefferson City;
two sisters, Ida Stuart of Mexico, MO and Fay Turk of Jefferson City; and
four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
