WILLIAM CARMEANS
1922-2011
William Carmeans, age 88 of Van Lear, passed away Tuesday, Apirl 19, 2011 at
Highland Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
Born August 9, 1922 in Koskuco, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Fred
and Leona Howell Carmeans.
He is survived by one son, Ricky Carmeans; three daughters, Nena McCoart,
Diane Cochran and Rita Preston; one sister, Lillian Crum; four grandchildren
and six great grandchildren. William was a WWII Veteran and worked in
construction. He will be sadly missed by his family, by his friends, and all
who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday, April 22, 2011 in the chapel of the
Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park
at Staffordsville.
Jimmy Price and Paul Wayne Browning will officiate.
Friends may visit the funeral home from 4-9PM Thursday and until the time of
service on Friday.
