Widson J. "Chick" Carroll, 81, of Paintsville, died
Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Salyersville Health Care Center,
Salyersville.
Born Aug. 21, 1925, at Cedar Town, Ga., he was a son of the
late Widson Carroll Sr. and Naomi Campbell. He was the
former owner of Chicks Drive-In and a U.S. Army Air Corp
veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Hawkins Carroll of
Paintsville; a son, Charles "Chuck" Carroll of Irvine; two
daughters, Linda Carroll Kincaid of Danville and Becky
Carroll Dausman of Paintsville; a step-brother, Frank Wright
Jr. of Cedartown; a half-sister, Faye Koontz of Woodstock,
Ga.; seven grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 13, at Jones-Preston
Funeral Home, Paintsville, with Hoge Hockensmith, Donnie
Patrick, and Larry O'Bryan officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
