ANNA CASTLE
1942-2001
Van Lear resident Anna Castle, 58, died Friday, February 23, 2001 in
Lexington.
Mrs. Castle was born June 16, 1942, in Johnson County, to the late
James Henry and Allie Cantrell Salyer.
Surviving are her husband, Rev. Jerry Castle; one son, Jerry L. Castle
Jr. of Van Lear; one daughter, Robin Castle Ferguson of Van Lear; four
brothers, James and Jesse Salyer, both of Flat Gap, Cozy Salyer of
Crockett and Noah Salyer of Huntington, West Virginia; four sisters,
Manda Salyer and Esta Johnson, both of Flat Gap, Gay Salyer of West
Virginia and Moncie Vickers of Dandridge, Tennessee; and two
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Upper Room Church, with William
P. Perkins and Jimmy Jennings officiating.
Burial followed in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, with
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
