Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 6, for Calvin Castle, 25, of Tutor
Key, who died as the result of a mining accident on Saturday, May 3.
 
An equipment operator for Untied Energies, Mrs. Castle was a member of the
Chandlersville Lodge, 858 F & AM and  the Urbana Eastern Star, 530.
 
He was the son of Thomas and Ruth VanHoose Castle, who survive.
 
Also surviving are his wife, Sandra Jill Hayslip Castle; one son, Todd
Castle, at home, one daughter, Traci, at home, two brothers, Tommy Castle and
David Keith Castle, both of Lowmansville, and a sister Pamela Gaye Fraley of
Wittensville. Officiating ministers at the services held in the Mouth of Rush
Enterprise Baptist Church at Nippa, were James Kelly Caudill, Bill Meadows,
and M. T. Womack, Jr.
 
Burial was in the Highland Memorial park at Staffordsville, serving as
pallbearers were Gale Castle, Wayne VanHoose, Don Ross, Terry Hayslip, Butch
Hayslip, Pat Flannigan, Jimmy Karg, Dick Keeran, Larry Taylor, and Nick Pack.
 
Arrangements were under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
