ROY CASTLE
1900-1981
Roy Castle, 81, died Wednesday, April 8, 1981 in Paintsville
Hospital.
Mr. Castle was born March 18, 1900, in Johnson County, the son of
Alonzo and Martha Dixon Castle, and was a resident of
Wittensville.
Surviving are his wife, Birdie Burghoff Castle; a son, Lonzo Lee
Roy Castle, Kendalville, Ind.; five daughters, Marie Wiley,
Paintsville, Ruth Collins, Columbus, Ohio, Louise Wiley,
Wittensville, Joyce Seercy, Swathmore, Pa., and Dixie Rice,
Kendalville, Ind. Also, three brothers, Sullivan and McKinley
Castle, Springfield, Ohio, and Willie Bill Castle, Wittensville; a
sister, Dixie Boyd, Ashland; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 11, in Toms Creek
Freewill Baptist Church with James Kelly Caudill, Eddie Young,
Bill Meadows and Dick VanHoose officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
