SAMMIE CASTLE
1928-1993
Sammie Castle Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday,
December 22, 1993, for Sammie “Burr” Castle Jr.
Mr. Castle was born Monday, September 24, 1928, in Pike County,
the son of the late Luther and Ruth Cooper Castle.
He was retired from South Central Bell and was a member of New
Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Arlene Ward Castle; two stepsons, Danny
Ward of Paintsville and Jerry Ward of Williamsport; four
stepdaughters, Judy Blanton of Paintsville, Lajeania Vickers of
Stanford, Terrie Crislip of Sitka and Martha Ward of Tampa,
Florida; one brother, Gene Castle of Paintsville; two sisters,
Edith Stambaugh of Sitka and Lorraine Wells of Paintsville; and
eight step-grandchildren and one great-step- grandchildren.
Officiating at 1 p.m. services at Paintsville Funeral Home will be
Revs. Larry Blair and Herbert Arms.
Burial will be in Highlands Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
