ADA CECIL
1891-1976
Ada Cecil, 84, died Saturday, May 1, in the Highlands Regional Medical
Center.
She was the daughter of Harvey and Carrie Bellomy and was born August 26,
1891, in Wayne, WV.
Mrs. Cecil was a resident of Van Lear and a member of the Baptist Church. Her
husband, John O. Cecil, Sr., preceded her in death on October 30, 1970.
Surviving are two sons, John O. of Frankfort and George H. of Huntsville, AL,
a daughter, Carrie Harris of Van Lear; 6 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 3, in the Jones- Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. John G. Sammons officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home handling arrangements.
