Biddie L. Chandler, 91, of Van Lear, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, at St. Mary’s
Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va.
Born Aug. 27, 1921, in Magoffin County, she was the daughter of the late
Richard Curtis and Lori Caldwell Slusher.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Chandler; two sons,
Gordon Chandler and William Chandler; and a daughter, Janice Merrell.
Survivors include a son, Roger Chandler of Roann, Ind.; two daughters, Kathy
Jean Branham and Debbie L. Chandler, both of Van Lear; seven grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 11, at Phelps and Son Funeral Home Chapel,
with Larry Blair officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Phelps and Son Funeral Home, Paintsville.
