Funeral services were held Saturday, February 28 for William Chandler, Jr.,
53.
Mr. Chandler died Wednesday, February 25 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical
Center.
Mr. Chandler was born June 9, 1933 in Johnson County, the son of William and
Lydia DeBoard Chandler. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Enterprise Baptist
Church.
Surviving are his wife, Roberta Young Chandler; two sons, Brad Chandler and
William Chandler, both of River; two stepsons, Ray L. Rogers, Jr., and Gary
Rogers, both of Grayson; three daughters, Brenda Rogers of River, Debbie
Tucker of Fairfox, VA and Karen Jarvis of Sitka; three brothers, Tom
Chandler, of Jenkins, Orvill Chandler, of Columbus, OH and James Chandler of
Springfield, OH; two sisters, Edith Daniels of Lowmansville and Oakie Johnson
of Neon; and eight grandchildren and one step grandchild. Ellis Hamilton and
Bruce Daniels officiated at services.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Preston Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Bobby Jarvis, Craig Tucker, Bob Daniels, Randell Chandler,
Dale Daniels, Cecil Daniels, Jr., Bob Chandler and Lester Young.
