Linda D. Childers, 60, of Ashland, died Friday, Oct. 28, at Thelma.
Born Oct. 7, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Glen
and Reba Eisnaugle Preston. She worked at American Standard and was a member
of the Eastside Freew ill Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Childers.
Survivors include two daughters, Crystal Compton of West Van Lear, and Kim
Lyons of Richmond; a sister, Sharon Butcher of Thelma; four grandchildren;
and a great grandchild.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 31, at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church,
with Harry Neal Frisby and Roger Thornsberry officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under direction of
Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
