FLOYD ALLEN COLLINS
1948-1982
Van Lear resident Floyd Allen Collins, 33, died Friday, February 5, at David,
KY, as the result of an automobile accident.
Mr. Collins was born July 13, 1948, in Johnson County.
He was employed as a miner for V & M. Mining Company.
Surviving are his parents, William Floyd and Billie Ramey Collins, his wife,
Nealma Kay Brown Collins, who he married March 17, 1971, in Paintsville, four
children, Samuel David Collins, Blaine, Robert Gerald, Stacy Allen and Julie
Ann Collins, all at home, and four brothers, Kenneth Collins, Thelma, Danny,
Donny and Randy Collins, Van Lear.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 8, in Van Lear Independent Church
with Harold Conley and Roger Hill officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park with Preston Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
