GLADYS COLLINS
1901-1982
Bennie Blankenship and Jerry Scott conducted funeral services in Jones-
Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Glady Collins, 81. She died September 7 in
Highlands Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Collins was born January 9, 1901, in Johnson County the daughter of
William and Ella Spears Wells, and was a resident of Van Lear.
Surviving are six sons, Christopher and Harold Collins, of Taylor, MI, Denman
and Jesse Collins of Van Lear, James Collins, Lakewood, NJ, and Colbert
Collins, Farmingdale, NJ; two daughters, Verdie Mollette, Milan, MI and
Evelyn Goodman, Freehold, NJ; a brother, Elmer Wells, Van Lear; 26
grandchildren, two step grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held September 10 with burial in Highland Memorial
Park.
