Lloyd Collins, 68, died Saturday, June 11, in the Good Samaritan Hospital in
Lexington following an extended illness.
 
Mr. Collins was born August 14, 1908 in Floyd County, the son of the late
Henry Collins and Myrtle Ward Collins, who survives.
 
Mr. Collins was a resident of Hager Hill, a retired lineman for Kentucky
Power Company and a member of the First Christian Church and the Masonic
Lodge. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Edna DeLong Collins;
a son, George Collins of Frankfort; two daughters, Anna Lloyd Greenberger of
des Moines, IA and Virginia Lee Martin of Flatwoods; three brothers, John D.
of Lexington, Tildon of Prestonsburg and Ellsworth of Mt. Vernon, IL, six
grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 14, in the Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Jones officiating.
  
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville with Jones-
Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements.
