CHARLIE COLVIN
1895-1980
Charlie Colvin, 85, died Monday October 13, 1980 in Paintsville
Hospital. Mr. Colvin was born in Johnson County, July 14, 1895,
the son of Henry and Celia Picklesimer Colvin.
He was a resident of Paintsville, a retired employee of Maggard's
Furniture and Hardware, a Member of the United Baptist Church, and
a veteran of World War 1.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Daniel Colvin; a son, Gerald
Colvin, Wittensville; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Preston, Nippa,
and Mrs. Jo Ann Meadows, Wittensville; five grandchildren and one
great grandchild.
Funeral services will held Thursday, Oclober 16, at 11:00 a.m. in
Fishtrap United Baptist Church, Staffordsville, with Elders Lonza
and Bruce Howard officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, with
Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
