Paul D. Combs, 72, of Van Lear, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 at
Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
Born Sept. 27, 1934, in Knott County, he was a son of the late Denny
and Orba Gayheart Combs. He was a retired sales manager with East
Kentucky Beverage and member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annettia Slone Combs of Van Lear; a
daughter, Barbi Denise Doderer of Paintsville; four sisters, Billie
Louise Madden of Arcanum, Ohio, Lillian Angles of Vandalia, Ohio,
Katie Derr of Tipp City, Ohio, and Anna Rose Amburgey of Mallie; two
grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 24, at First Baptist Church,
Paintsville, with Donnie Patrick, Larry O'Brien, and Mike Blanton
officiating.
Entombment was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
