BESSIE CONLEY
1888-1977
Bessie Rice Conley, 89, died Thursday, May 19, in Highland Regional Medical
Center after an extended illness.
Mrs. Conley was born in Johnson County, April 6, 1888, the daughter of Green
and Jane Cunningham Rice. She was a resident of East Point and was preceded
in death by her husband, Den Conley, Jr.
Surviving are two sons, Marvin of Ashland and Cecil of Galloway, OH; a
daughter, Sylvia Dotson of Hager Hill; two sisters, Hazel Rice of Louisville
and Elizabeth Rice of Florida; four grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren,
and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 22, in the Preston Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Clarence Lemaster officiating.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park with Preston Funeral Home handling
arrangements.
