GRACE CONLEY
1897-1962
Mrs. Grace Conley, 65, well known resident of this city, died in a local
hospital at 1:15 p.m., Sunday, February 18.
She had been ill for the past two months after breaking her hip in a fall.
The daughter of the late George H. and Rebecca Conley Preston, she was born
January 18, 1897, at Thelma and had lived in this city for the past thirty
years. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband, Smith
Conley, preceded her in death March 27, 1957.
Surviving are seven sons, Hershell, Bert, Bill, and Roy Conley, of this city;
John, James and Curtis Conley, Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Catherine Arms,
Chesapeake, Ohio; Virginia Kent, City.
Also surviving are twenty-three grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., today from the Third Street
Free Will Baptist Church with Scott Castle.
