MYRTLE CONLEY
1901-1988
Myrtle Mae Conley, 87, died Thursday, July 7, in Highlands Regional Medical
Center. Mrs. Conley was born May 7, 1901 in Johnson County, the daughter of
Barnes McFaddin and Loula Rice.
She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Her husband, Vern Conley, preceded her in death in 1971.
Surviving are six sons, Robert and Harold both of Hager Hill, Charles of
Mansfield, OH, Clifford and Billy both of Paintsville, and George of Thealka;
one daughter Joann VanHoose of Paintsville; one brother, Frank McFaddin, of
Dayton, OH; two sisters, Maudie Collins of Columbus, OH, and Mattie Newton,
of Owensboro; 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great-great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 10, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with John Frank Ratliff, James Crider and Don Fraley officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
