Oliver P. Conley, 87, of Oil Springs, died Friday, May 31, at his
residence
Born Jan. 26, 1926, in Magoffin County, he was the son of the late Tom
and Flora Borders Conley. He was a pipefitter with Local 521 and World
World II Army veteran.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Bailey; six
brothers, Hoy Conley, Troy Conley, Willie E. Conley, Zess Conley,
Delcanie Conley,and Hargie Conley; and four sisters, Alpha Conley,
Bethel Blevins, Mattie Adams and Beatrice Conley.
Survivors include wife, Geraldine Adams Conley; three sons, Robert L.
Conley of Martin, Larry Conley of Oil Springs and Stanley A. Conley of
Hager Hill; a daughter, Angie Chrislip of Gallipolis, Ohio; two
brothers, Joe Conley of Salyersville and Adam Conley of Dayton, Ohio;
a sister, Imogene Patrick of Clyde, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and 18
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, June 3, at Magoffin County Funeral Home
Chapel, with John Back officiating.
Burial was in Highlands Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Magoffin County Funeral Home, Salyersville.
