Eddie Cornett, 76, of Paintsville, died Saturday, March 13, at his
residence.
Born Aug. 12, 1927, in Letcher County, he was a son of the late
Clark and Nancy Ann Minyard Cornett.
He was a retired mechanic and a Korean War Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ora Mae Boggs Cornett of Paintsville; a
son, Eddie Randell Cornett of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Brenda
Blackburn of Ulysses and Linda Osborne of Louisa; two brothers,
Otis Cornett of Gordon and Alfred Cornett of Cumblerland; two
sisters, Myrtle Lewis of Gordon, and Doshia Lewis of Michigan; 10
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were Tuesday, March 16, at Third Street Freewill
Baptist Church, Paintsville, with Larry Blair officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
